5. Introduction
Solid body centralizers are built out of solid steel bar or cast iron or other solid material, with a fixed blade height and are sized to fit a specific casing or hole size, to help center the casing in wellbore.

6. Application
Solid body casing centralizers are suitable for deviated wells and horizontal wells.
 
7. Characteristics:
1) Be rugged and works well even in deviated wellbores, regardless of the side force;
2) Shock, impact and corrosion resistant;
3) High tensile and yield strengths;
4) Available with straight or spiral blades;
5) Provide a guaranteed standoff and function as bearings during the pipe rotation;
6) The OD of rigid centralizers is smaller than wellbore;
 

Installation Instructions

 

8. Installation
Solid body centralizers can be installed on the casing with stop collars or with integral set screws. Installations that allow casing rotation and reciprocation are preferred because of improved displacement efficiency. Most slip-on rigid centralizers must be installed between stop collars and are freely floating.
