Sucker Rod Couplings
Sucker Rod Couplings are manufactured from quenched and tempered alloyed steels. API 11B couplings are classified into two classes: T Grade and SM Grade (Spray Metal).
SM Grade coupling has a spray-welded metal layer on the surface. The appearance is silver-white generally, the surface hardness is high, and the wear resistance and corrosion resistance are relatively good.
Compared with T Grade couplings, SM Grade couplings have the following features:
(1) High surface hardness and good wear resistance
According to SY/T 5029-2013, the surface hardness required for T Grade couplings is HRA56~62, and the metal hardness of the spray welding layer of SM Grade couplings is ≥595HV0.2.
(2) The surface finish is high. The surface roughness required for T Grade coupling is ≤ 3.2, and that of SM Grade coupling is ≤ 1.6
Our sucker rod couplings, reducer couplings, small wellbore couplings, spray welded couplings and polished rod couplings can meet the requirements of API 11B. We can also produce couplings of different classes according to the requirements of our customers.

Polished rod coupling is designed to connect polished rod and sucker rod. Sucker rod coupling cannot be used to connect polished rod; polished rod coupling can be used to connect sucker rod.
