5. Introduction
Solid body (rigid) centralizer is used to casing in the central place of wellbore in cementing process, making align casings through well heads near surface. Rigid centralizer, made from solid steel bar or cast iron with a fixed blade height, is used to fit a specific casing or hole size.

6. Characteristics for Rigid centralizer:
1) Good shock, impact and corrosion resistance;
2) High tensile and yield strengths;
3) Straight or spiral blades are available;
4) Ensure positive centering in deviated or horizontal holes;
5) Prevent differential sticking while running casing;
 
7. Installation
Rigid centralizer is installed on the casing with stop collars or with integral set screws. Most slip-on rigid centralizers are only allowed to be installed between stop collars.
